My Hero

-JOAN OF ARC

Joan of Arc (her original French name is Jeanne d'Arc) also known as the Maid of Orleans, was a young French peasant woman who had a crucial role in the restoration of the French crown in the Hundred Years War, who today is  remembered as a heroine and an example of the emancipation of women from their traditional social roles.  She also was frequently employed as an inspiration for the French troops during the First and Second World War.

At the age of 13 she began to experience divine events, she claimed to see San Miguel, Santa Catalina and Santa Margarita.  A few years after her, God entrusted him with the mission of helping France regain her throne.  She asked Carlos VII to enlist in her ranks, but they rejected her, months later, she asked again to allow her to lead part of her troops, the position of the French was weakening and Carlos VII had to accept  .  In 1429, Joan of Arc, under divine orders, led an army of more than five thousand men to victory at Orleans.  This allowed Charles VII to be symbolically crowned King of France at Reims.  Thanks to that victory, France began to lead England.  She little by little she was recovering territories until she finally reconquered France.

In her last battle they captured her and took her to the English, they accused her of witchcraft and said that her visions were of the devil, she died burned at the stake

We consider Joan of Arc a heroine because she always showed strength and courage, in order to her goals, regardless of who opposed her, she stood firm and achieved her purpose, due to this she had a tragic end.
